Tori Spelling's Rocking Bikini Body

Are only skinny women allowed to rock a bikini? If you ask Tori Spelling, she’d be quick to say no!

“Spoiler Alert: Yep! I’m wearing my BUMP PROUD again in a bikini so if you don’t want to look then leave my site now!” said Tori Spelling on her website according to ABC News.

Not surprisingly, a lot of Spelling’s fans had an issue with her showing off her baby bump in a bikini.

“Too much showing. Not suitable for a pregnant mom with a seven-month-old.”

“Ewww. She’s pregnant! Cover that bump up! No one wants to see that!!”

I’m really fumoxed as why people have a problem with a woman exposing her pregnant belly to the world. There’s no reason why a pregnant belly needs to be hidden.

From experience I know that when I’m pregnant I feel more comfortable in a bikini rather than having some horrible spandex stretched across my expanding middle. I also feel freer of bikini body issues when pregnant because I don’t judge myself so harshly as when I’m not pregnant but just soft around the middle.

Lay off Tori (and all the other pregnant ladies and less than perfect-bodied amongst us) and let her rock her beautiful belly as she pleases.

Madonna Shows Us What Celebrity Moms are Good At

You just can’t keep clothes on Madonna! Leave it to her to create a stir over clothing.
According to MSNBC, Madonna moons audience at Rome concert after she flashed a nipple last week in Istanbul.
The pop star’s wardrobe non-malfunctions both occurred during her song "Human Nature."
Of course there are outraged people all over the place. But not so much for the fact she exposed herself—more because of her age. How dare a 53-year-old woman and mom of four subject people to seeing that?
The icon was criticized in some corners for showing her breast in Istanbul last week during the striptease routine. "What works for a 22-year-old woman or a man is not appropriate, very often, for a 53-year-old," Donny Deutsch complained on TODAY recently. At his, Dr. Nancy Snyderman sniffed. "Not special," she said. "Not a special breast, not worth doing."
I’m kind of hoping that these comments may push Madonna to strip it all off completely!
I find it much more fascinating and provoking to have an aging pop legend stripping down to show us our prejudices and preconceived notions about what kind of female nudity is acceptable in our society.

Nadya Suleman to Strip

TMZ and every other celebrity website today are reporting on Nadya Suleman’s upcoming stripper performances. Octomom will be performing at T's Lounge in West Palm Beach, FL, from July 11-15.
While most headlines are all touting Octomom’s becoming a stripper now, it’s not really like that. She’ll be doing two shows a night for less than a week. I don’t think that really makes one a stripper. She’s obviously just stripping for promotional reasons for her porn movie. I don’t think we should expect to see her doing this as a new steady gig.
At this point in Suleman’s life, I can only hope that she does indeed feel good about what she is doing. If she feels confident and is having fun with her new image, then power to her. There is nothing wrong with her choice if she has come to terms with her own self and choices and feels empowered by the role she is playing.
I hope that she will find everything she is looking for and not let the naysayers get her down.

Moms Posing Nude

Bravo for McCarthy being brave enough to strip down after having a child. The last time she posed for Playboy was nineteen years ago.

"Why should only 20 yr olds be considered sexy?" McCarthy says. "Let's (hear) it for the MILFs."
I think it’s great to celebrate women’s bodies of all ages and sizes. I have a feeling though that McCarthy’s body will be quite perfect looking in the “accustomed” way.

What I’d like to really see are some mothers posing nude who don’t have perfect bodies. Some “real” Mommy bodies with wrinkly bellies and stretch marks. You know what? Those bodies can be sexy, too…

Octomom's "Porn" Film

I didn’t expect the Octomom porn film to happen so fast.

Last week Nadya Suleman admitted she might reconsider doing porn after the tale of her property being foreclosed and her bankruptcy claim came to light.

Today we have photos of Suleman on set for her shoot last week.

"My first shoot was amazing," Suleman told the Huffington Post. "Such a learning experience for me in so many ways. I don't think I could have asked for a better crew to work with. They were so patient and willing to teach me. I owe a lot to Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake; she opened my eyes to a whole different world of self-pleasure that I could have never imagined. They made me look so glamorous, and for the first time in my life, I felt beautiful and sexy. I'm very excited for it to come out!"

I think Suleman has taken a very public and clear stance on what is important to her. Her children. I know this may sound insane, but she is doing what would make her the money she needed to put food on her kids’ table and a roof over their heads.

Is this a career that’s right for all moms? Obviously not.

But this woman has been through a lot, regardless of what judgments people make. Suleman is trying to provide for her children. As long as she is comfortable with what she is doing, who are we to say that it is wrong?

Awkward Pregnancy Photos

While the moms in these pictures may not be celebrity moms yet, who knows now that their photos are being seen worldwide, they may just end up as Celebrity Momsters.

Ivillage shares the best of Awkward Family Photos’ pregnant women pictures. The ones that really stand out are usually the ones with the dads trying to outshine the moms!

I can’t help but think that most of these photos’ ideas came from the fathers, but who knows? Maybe there is a mother out there who thought a picture of her husband looking at her adoringly over a tire would be sweet. And what mother-to-be wouldn’t want the world to know her husband has a gun and isn’t afraid to use it?

Hedid Klum Talks Honestly About Plastic Surgery

I was about to jump to judgment of Heidi Klum when I read on Radar that even though she’s against plastic surgery now, she said to Allure Magazine, “Ask me again when I’m 65, but…I’m proud to be able to say, in this day and age, I haven’t done anything.”

It’s easy to say we’re anti-anything when we ourselves don’t need the particular thing.

Like a gorgeous supermodel who’s twenty can easily stand and say, “I’m against plastic surgery.”

Well, sure, because she looks great and knows it and clearly has no need of “help.” But what about when she starts to see a few wrinkles creeping in around her eyes, or in between her eyebrows or her throat?

So I give credit to Klum for being honest; she’s happy with how she looks now as she nears forty, but she doesn’t know how her feelings may change as the inevitable aging process sets in.

Klum honestly talks about how she feels and she has a right to do that even though she’s a supermodel: “I don’t want to name names, but it’s like, Wow, I remember you five years ago, looking to me so beautiful, and now it’s like…who is this person?  And I know girls half my age who do it. What are they gonna do at 40 or 50, when the s**t really hits the fan?”

It boils down to that we all need to make our own decisions and live with them. And we’re even allowed to change our minds. Yes, others may brand us hypocrites, but they’ll do that anyway.

Stand up for what you believe in, regardless of what others will say about you, Celebrity Momsters (and that goes for all of us)!

Octomom's Nude Photo Shoot: Yay or Nay?

I wrote about Nadya Suleman, aka Octomom, for Huffington Post today. She did a nearly-nude photo shoot for Closer magazine and I think it’s actually pretty cool. She’s representing mothers of the world and showing there’s nothing wrong with a certain-aged woman’s naked body.
I discovered the latest report about her photo shoot on Perezitos this morning. Of course, she’s receiving a lot of backlash for having done the photos.
It seems that a lot of people are saying her having taken these photos are the equivalent to having done porn, which she said she would never do, regardless of how broke she was.
The photos are totally tasteful and I don’t see why anyone would feel the need to trash her for posing. The only aside I would make is that the photos themselves are not well done. If anyone should be upset about anything, it’s that the magazine seemed to do a low-budget photo shoot.
What do you think? Is it harmful for a mother to pose nude or nearly-nude because of her children?

Kris Kardashian Shares a Photo for Her Son's Birthday

Mommyish shares a nearly-nude shot of Kris Jenner, mother to the Kardashian clan.
Kris released this photo in honor of her son Rob Kardashian‘s 25th birthday. The reality TV mogul and momager is photographed here, pregnant with her son, in 1987.
What do you guys think? Would you be mega-embarrassed if your mom shared a photo like this in honor of your birthday? Or mega-proud?

Jessica Simpson Does a Demi Moore

Us Weekly shares the latest news on a soon-to-be Celebrity Momster.
Simpson strikes quite a candid pose revealing more than would probably be allowed for a cover photo of a non-pregnant woman.
“Heavily pregnant Simpson, 31, poses nude on the April cover of ELLE magazine; Moore, 49, did the same for the cover of Vanity Fair in August 1991 when she was pregnant with daughter Scout LaRue.”
Why is it that people who would be in an uproar about that shot if she weren’t pregnant think it’s acceptable while she is?
Is it because she is not seen as a “sexy” object when pregnant? So the sight of her body as a “mother” is somehow “otherly” and allowed to be seen in this state?
If so, how silly that would seem since being pregnant means you’re obviously, you know, sexual.

Victoria Beckham is Thin Again! (Was She Ever Not Thin?!)

The UK’s Daily Mail helps perpetuate more Oh my God! She’s so thin after giving birth! How DOES she do it? craziness.
A Celebrity Momster always seems to be too thin or too fat after giving birth. We never hear magazines proclaiming, Wow! She looks just the way she should for her body type!

Victoria Beckham had baby Harper in July and has just posed for her first post maternal lingerie shoot.

Why would anyone be surprised by the way she looks? She’s naturally thin and she’s had six-months to lose the baby weight.

It’s not a miracle, folks. It’s called good diet and exercise.

News flash! Mothers do not naturally just become old, fat frumps after giving birth. They usually return to looking like they did before.

Rock It, Katie Holmes!

Check out the photos of Celebrity Momster Katie Homes on Celebuzz.
She posed for the jeweler H. Stern in not much more than jewelry.
All the celebrity sites are exclaiming how we’ve never seen Katie like this before! Oh my goodness, she’s a mom! We usually see her out toting little Suri!
It’s like when you become a mom you cease to exist in any other way. If you step out looking sexy—it’s headline news!
Oh my goodness—a sexy mom! How can it be?! Moms can’t be sexy! They need to be baking cookies and wearing full-body covering at all times!
Alert the press!

Mom Bloggers React To Steamy Ad

Perez Hilton makes a valid point about some racy ads that were hanging in Los Angeles for Manhunt (I can’t believe I just said that).
The ads feature two shirtless men moving in for a hot, steamy kiss and a lot of LA moms were upset about their children having to see the billboard countless times a day.
Perez Hilton agrees that the ad is pretty risqué for kids, but doesn’t believe moms would have made such a big stink over the ad if it had been a man and a woman moving in for the smooch.
These angry mommy bloggers need to be equal opportunity haters!
I try to be open and explain things in an age-appropriate way whenever my daughter asks. Where I live you don’t see openly gay couples involved in any PDA though. But I have looked for conversational opportunities to simply introduce the idea to her that there can be couples (like Mom and Dad) who are two boys or two girls.
For instance, when her Barbies were looking for dance partners and there was only one Ken to go around for twenty Barbies, I said, Well, there’s nothing wrong with two girls dancing together.
Hopefully, small mentions in nonjudgmental ways will prepare our kids for the myriad of couples they’ll see as they get older and help them appreciate and trust their own sense of uniqueness in the world.
And then if we do stumble upon a steamy, male-on-male billboard on our travels, it won’t seem so out-of-the-ordinary and may simply spark a conversation about whether ads like this should be placed where kids are likely to see them.
I agree that if we’re going to get upset about sexy billboards, we should be upset about it all. I suppose for some moms they’re not ready to have to explain all the fine details of differing sexual relationships.
