Celebrity Momster Quote of the Day

Babyrazzi quotes Celebrity Momster Julianne Moore, who’s on the cover of March’s issue of More magazine,  about motherhood.
“I don’t want my daughter or her friends to be interested in Jessica Simpson,” Julianne states in the magazine. ” I want them to be interested in what’s happening in their own lives.”
If at a young age girls begin to look outside themselves for where importance lies, they are going to by default see very external measures of success as being what is important.
Young women should be focused on the beauty and splendor of their own maturing selves, not the outside trappings of celebrity glamour and style.
So how do we encourage girls to focus more on themselves than the sparkly celebrities they see all around them?
I think Moore has really hit the nail on the head with this simple statement of what’s so bad with young women obsessing over celebrity culture.
